Emma Hansen - Head of Marketing

Emma Hansen Go Orange

Q - How long have you worked for Go Orange?
I’ve been with GO for 13 months.

Q - Why did you choose to live and work in Queenstown?
I wanted to live and work somewhere I could be proud of and somewhere people would be envious of = Queenstown and Go Orange am I right?

Q - What is the best part of your job?
People I work with hands down! Closely followed by all the awesome things I get to do in representing this company.

Q - Tell us about a memorable moment during your time with Go Orange?
Most memorable would be the basketball in Christchurch where the entire stadium lit up orange – was an amazingly proud moment as I had pulled that off and had 6,000 Tall Black fans all cheering for Go Orange in one stadium.

Q - What is your favourite feature on the brand-new Milford Haven boat?
Neon Go Beyond sign – it’s such a good first impression to the beyond.

Q - Tell us, what do you like to do outside of work?
No surprises here – socialise. This could be scaling mountains together or hitting up Cowboys but being with friends is what I like best.

Q - What is your favourite part about living and working in Queenstown?
The mountains – still can’t believe my view isn’t just a postcard and its real life for me.

Q - If you didn't work for Go Orange what would you do?
If I didn’t work for Go Orange, I’d still be in marketing as it’s what I love but likely still in Sydney, not NZ.

Q - If you could live and work anywhere in the world where would it be?
England for sure.

Q - What was life before Go Orange?
Beach bum living. I lived 5 minutes from the beach so swimming and stand u paddle boarding. And my Puppy Winston was life! I miss him terribly!

Q - If could travel anywhere in the world where would it be?
Norway – desperate to see the northern lights.

Q - Describe your perfect day in Queenstown.
Balcony BBQ and chardonnay in the sun.

Q - Have you travelled around New Zealand? If so, what is your favourite spot?
Hmm yes sort of – South Island anyway. Loved Ohau and lake Tekapo but am off to Waiheke Island next month and everyone raves about this island, so it might become the new fave.

Q - What is one thing you suggest for people to do while visiting Queenstown?
Play shuffle board at Cowboys – brilliant game!

Q - What is your favourite Go Experience & Why?
Shotover rafting hands down. Before starting with GO it is an experience I wouldn’t have thought I could manage, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The guides and the team work are amazing and it’s the best feeling coming down cascade knowing that I achieved rafting on a grade 5 river and I’m only 5’3, I’m practically a super hero!
