Adam Wilson - Business Development Manager

Q - How long have you worked for Go Orange?
For over 2 years now, before Go Orange I was head of sales at Cardrona, so staying in the Wayfare family is awesome.

Q - Why did you choose to live and work in Queenstown?
The scenery is amazing,. I have easy access to hiking and running trails, perfect for my training and its close to home, I grew up here so it’s great to be able to stay around.

Q - What is the best part of your job?
It’s hard, my job is pretty awesome but being able to raft on the Shotover River for free is epic.

Q - Tell us about a memorable moment during your time with Go Orange?
One of my fondest memories at Go Orange was my trip on the Landsborough River, a three day Whitewater rafting adventure on the West Coast, where you take on grade 3- 5 rapids, camp overnight and enjoy amazing New Zealand sourced food and wine cooked by the guides.

Q - What is your favourite feature on the brand new Milford Haven boat?
The boat fit out is so good and so different to anything else in the sound. I would say the AstroTurf on the top deck is a my favourite feature.

Q - Tell us, what do you like to do outside of work?
I race competitively so my time is taken up training or racing. We are always out on missions either hiking, running or camping in the mountains around the South Island.

Q - If you didn’t work for Go Orange what would you do?
In an ideal world where one wouldn’t have to work, I would fill my time with missions. I love hiking and running so would explore further into the mountains around Queenstown.

Q - If you could live and work anywhere in the world where would it be?
I would have to say Hawaii, the coastline looks awesome.

Q - What was life before Go Orange?
I worked as head of sales at Cardrona.

Q - If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be?
This one is too hard to answer, I want to travel the world. But if I had to explore one region it would be more of Europe.  Too hard to answer as I want to travel everywhere.

Q - Describe your perfect day in Queenstown?
On a hot summers day there’s nothing better than a hike in the mountains, the Routeburn is awesome to explore, so many little tracks of the main trail to explore. I would finish the day with BBQ and beers with friends.

Q - What is one thing you suggest for people to do while visiting Queenstown?
Without a doubt everyone should go Whitewater Rafting. The Kawarau river is perfect for those who need an introduction to the Whitewater and the Shotover River is amazing for people who need that adrenaline rush. If you’re going on the Kawarau, then you should jet to raft, which means taking a jet boat to the start of the Kawarau experience.

Q - What is your favourite Go Experience & Why?
Again, Whitewater Rafting for sure, it’s the most adventurous and you can explore places around Queenstown that others can’t as its only accessible by raft.
