How long do we kayak for?

You will be on the water for 45 minutes with our guide. The total time for experience including lake transfers is 3 hours.

Is there somewhere for me to park?

The experience departs from the Go Orange Kiosk next to Steamer Wharf, there is no parking on site. However, Queenstown CBD has a variety of parking options.

Where do we check in for the kayak experience?

The water taxi will depart from the Queenstown Go Orange Kiosk, Steamer Wharf. You can’t miss us, we are the ones surrounded by Orange flags.  If you have booked a kayak experience please arrive 15 minutes before departure so we can give you all the gear you need for your experience.

What if the kayak trip is cancelled due to the weather?

We will do our best to accommodate you on another trip, if not a date change or refund will be arranged.

What do we wear when kayaking?

Please wear a swimsuit or kayak underwear layer beneath warm clothes and a waterproof jacket. Bring your gear to the launch point in a backpack. The likelihood of you getting wet is slim so please wear sensible clothes and shoes that are weather appropriate.

What shall I bring on my kayak experience?

Please bring sensible clothing and footwear, sunscreen, sunglasses, warm jacket & Camera (at own risk)  you are also more than welcome to bring snacks, fruit, muesli bars and quick to eat food is advised. A reusable water bottle is also advised.

Is this a guided tour or can we rent kayaks from you?

This is a guided tour. You will be accompanied by one of our expert guides in a small group of 8 kayakers.

What are the minimum and maximum age for a kayak tour?

Minimum age is 5, all travellers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult guardian

Am I going to get wet?

Unless the heavens open like the likelihood of you getting wet is slim. Please wear shoes that you don’t mind getting a little wet as getting in and out of the kayak will be in shallow water.

How many people will go on the kayak experience?

We have limited the kayak experience to 8 kayakers per guide.
